Vargas has had the opportunity to work for APS at various substations, swithyards and powerplants for the past 5 years, locations include Red Hawk, West Phoenix, Ocotillo, Cholla, Four Corners, Raceway, Delaney, Navajo, Pinnacle Peak, Sanguinetti, Cocopah, Arica and many more. Vargas General Engineering was awarded the “Tribuite to Diverse Businesses Key Business Partner”award in 2010.
VGE knows the importance of safety and requires all personnel entering any substation or power plant to maintain the necessary safety equipment such as FR protective clothing, safety spoggles, and gloves. As well as obtain the necessary safety training required to complete the project
Since 2002 VGE has been conducting business with the United States Postal Service and has performed work throughout the state of Arizona. Various locations include the Laveen, Mesa, Yuma, Phoenix, Sedona, Quartzsite, Rio Salado and many others. Vargas performs a variety of services for the post office which include TI work to 24hour on call emergency repairs.
Mesquite Power Plant as well as Mesquite Solar have become valuable clients to our company and has provided us with the opportunity to conduit business with Sempra and be added to their preferred client list. Our services include concrete work including but not limited to transformer pad placement, sidewalks, structural concrete work, and underground dry utilities.
VGE has had the opportunity to work for some great clients such as American Water. Scopes involved in these projects have included backwash clarifiers, SOG, wall footings, underflow pump, structural filters, and membrane replacements.
Vargas has performed work for the USDA for the past 9 years including the Tonto National Forest, Coconino National Forest, Prescott National Forest etc. We were awarded an 4 year IDIQ with the Prescott National Forest and have performed numerous projects such as Gorilla Gates, campground improvements, and much more. Our dedication to our work has made us a great asset, and led us to develop a great relationship with the USDA.
